This selection of our tapestries is hand-woven in China using the same techniques as traditional tapestry weaving in France over the past five centuries. Soft tones are achieved through thousands of different coloured yarns. At each change of colour the wool is knotted at the back of the tapestry. They have a rod pocket for easy hanging. Sizes are approximate since they are individually hand-woven. Click on the five categories below to see each style. These often include floral and landscape aspects within their setting. Chateau tapestries are included here. These exquisite hand-woven Chinese tapestries use the traditional tapestry weaving techniques employed in France since the 15th century. Each tapestry wall-hanging has a rod pocket for ease of hanging. Do note that the various rods, finials, brackets etc are just for display ideas; we do not supply these since they are best purchased locally according to your taste.
